Fibroids?!? What does that mean?

Have to go in for some additional testing to determine if there are fibroids in my uterus. If so surgery...is that like a D&C;?

No, the surgery would be to remove the fibroids which may be in the lining of the uterus.
I had to have a laproscopic Myomectomy to remove fibroids. There are three places they can be: on the inside of the uterus along the muscle wall, inside the muscle of the uterus, or outside of the uterus muscle. I recommend reading about fibroids online and talking to your doctor about what they're seeing.
I had 8 fibroids total, three were large (similar to baseball sized) and the rest were smaller.
