Can u get positive Ovulation test and be pregnant?

so  period is due on the 22nd  had my oh surge few weeks ago . And yesterday and today had surges. could it pick up HCG???

yes it can if opk comes out positive when you know your not ovulating take a pregnancy test. it may come out positive as well.

In that case I am definitely out this month..*sigh* wait for AF..again. I dont think I can take a year of this before seeing a fertility specialist...torture.

Yes!! This is exactly what happened to me. The ovulation tests can’t determine between the two hormones and will give you a “positive”. I thought I missed my surge so I kept testing, had three days of “positives” when my period was due - I knew that wasn’t possible so I took a pregnancy test and BAM pregnant!

i read that it tests a different hormone (LH), not HCG.
