I've been noticing alot of gnats in my apartment and I've read to put Apple cider vinegar with a few drops of dish soap in a jar with holes on the top is this how you do it?

you dont even really need the cover on the top. theyre atttacted to the apple cider vinegar, the drop of dishsoap breaks down the surface of the vinegar making it so they cant float on top, and they just drown instead. the cover will help them get trapped inside thr cup until they sink.

I've done this before but it barely worked... deep cleaning your drains (baking soda,vinager, and boiling water), and keeping drained plugged when not in use is what really helped me.
