Lots of blood?

So last night I had sex and there was suddenly loads of blood, but I had finished my period like a week before and hadn’t had any blood before having sex? I started the pill 2 weeks ago, and I know that it’s common to have spotting in the first 3 months, but is it normal to have lots of blood which is like clotted a bit? It doesn’t have a odour or anything?
