My son, Keegan, is 15 days old today. He is breastfed and had been gaining weight very well, getting back to his birth weight of 8 lbs 2 oz at about 1 week. He was 8 lbs 10 oz for a couple of days and now he is down to 8 lbs 7 oz. I have been using a nipple shield since he was 2 days old and I have had a cold for the past few days. I have been feeding him on demand, which is usually about 8 times a day and lately his nursing sessions usually last 30-60 minutes. Does anyone have any insight or advice into what might be going on or how to get him back to gaining weight? Any help is appreciated!
