with my first i had such a hard time breastfeeding an i kinda gave up because the hospital was pushing formula. thankfully this time around at a different hospital they are so willing to help me try to pump for my baby girl in the nicu and they have a lactation consultant coming in tomorrow to talk to me about breastfeeding. for now im pumping and freezing. but i need tips and advice on how to up my supply so i dont dry out and so i can try to stock up before she comes home. so far the hospital said to try pumping for 15 minutes every three hours. also they gave me the kit and their letting me use the actual pump while im here but i cant take that home. i have the medela symphony kit im really liking it so i want to stick with it but do you recommend renting the pump or is it worth actually buying?
