Copper IUD?

Does or gas anyone had one? Reviews? I'm looking for something with no hormones. I had the mirena before and had a horrible experience but hoping that copper might be better

Didn’t like it at all. Never was comfortable having sex, cramps worsened every cycle, smells like metal down there, the list goes on lol

I hated it. After 4 months, I was still bleeding for life or 10-12 days per month, and cramping so bad I couldn’t work. The insertion was murder, too. Sorry, hon 😔 I can’t take synthetic hormones at all - I know how tough it is to try to find s good hormone-free method

I had it for over 5 years and loved it! The insertion is a little more painful than the mirena because it’s bigger, your periods can actually be heavier (for a short period of time, or as long as you have it), but I loved that it was hormone free. I’m planning on getting it again after I have my baby.

I had the Paragard IUD for 6 years and loved it. I never liked the way hormonal birth control made me feel.
