12w no US how long does insurance take?

So I'm 12 weeks along. I've misscarried before and I haven't had one US yet. My dr. Is waiting for an approval from my insurance (blue cross) for an US. It's been a week. I'm just anxious. How long did you have to wait for your insurance for an approval? If you had to

I have blue cross and I've honestly never struggled with them paying for an US or anything prenatal care wise. I'm high risk due to a heart condition I have and at 26 weeks I have growth scans every month at my perinatologist (on top of US my regular OB wants to do) and BCBS has never raised an issue about paying for them. At my first prenatal appointment I got an US without hassle too. I know under my insurance policy through the hospital I work at, BC will pay for all prenatal, post natal, and delivery charges.
If you are having issues just call them! That's what I did; because I have to see a perinatologist every month (starting 2X a month at 28 weeks) because my heart condition has caused a lot of issues with me during pregnancy so we are making sure my son stays safe. At first BC said they would only pay for my regular OB visits (I automatically started seeing him 2X a month rather than just 1X because of my heart) but I called them, as well as my regular OB and explained that I need to see a perinatologist. After that I had no issues and they were actually really understanding about it and to this day I have not had one single copay (even from the hospital when I was admitted for bottoming out BP). Typically my copays are $40 for regular doc visits, $60 for specialists, and $200 for ER visits so it has been a nice surprise! 
In all honesty I would just call because it could just be miscommunication between your doctor and insurance!(:
