We had been dating about 5 months at the time, That night we were just texting I can't remember how the conversation started but I was trying to explain to him how he made me feel without telling him I love him, because we hadn't said it yet and I didn't want to be the first and have him not say it back. The big jumble of words I sent him said it without saying it so he texted me back, do you love me? My heart stopped for a second and it didn't restart until a minute later when he texted me back with an I love you too. That was the longest minute of my life.

My fiancé said it before we started dating 😑😑 but it was actually why we started dating ❤️ We have known each other our entire lives because our parents have been friends since high school. His mom found out she was having a boy a month after my mom found out she was having a girl and they joked about how they were going to set us up and we would get married and such. We started hanging out a lot when we were 16 and I (like the asshole I was), knowingly kept this amazing man in the friend zone. I dated guys, and complained about those guys to him and he was ALWAYS there to make me feel better. And after a VERY bad breakup that left me very defeated he basically told me he loved me and always had and that he just wanted one chance. I said I loved him shortly after. I would say we were "in love" til about 8 months. 5 years later we are still together ❤️❤️❤️

We were together a year and a half. I said it to him first. I had been wanting to say it for awhile but was waiting for him to say it. I couldn't wait any longer. He said it back to me, and said he was waiting for me to say it first so he knew for sure that I loved him and wouldn't say it back just because.

We had been seeing each other 2 weeks and were completely inseparable. I’d never felt this way about someone (even my ex who I was MARRIED TO). I was meeting a couple of his friends for the first time and he took me to the backyard to show me how cool it was. It was SUPER pretty, decorated with lights and a pond with a waterfall and a wooden bench swing. We sat down and he said “listen, we need to talk.” He goes on to say “I’ve been thinking a lot. These past couple weeks have been amazing and I love spending time with you..” “I’m not sure I should do this or not, But I’ve never been so sure. Im in love with you. I know it’s really soon but I want you to know how serious I am about you and how bad I want this...” “You don’t have to say it back yet. But I told my friends and they said I should tell you how I feel” Then he pulled me close and hugged me tight and kissed the top of my head. (I’m 5’9” and he’s 6’7”) And I said “what the hell i thought you were gonna break up with me!” Then he kissed me and said “I could never” I told him I loved him back and he was so happy then went inside and told all his friends. 😂 We’ve been together one year now and I’m 17 weeks pregnant with our baby boy!

My boyfriend said it after about 3 months of “officially” dating. We were talking and unofficially dating for almost a year before actually dating. But once we decided we were ready to be in a serious relationship he said it after three months. The funniest thing is that recently I found out that he didn’t even realize that I didn’t say it first. All this time he thought that I told him I love him before he said it to me. Apparently (about a month before he said it to me) we were talking about movies and i texted a few suggestions to watch and thought it would be funny to throw in a chick flick (He hates watching those with me because I cry lol). So I suggested “p.s. I love you” and he thought I was saying “ps I love you” and not another movie title. I mean, I did love him at that point I just wasn’t ready to tell him. I just thought this was really funny because so much stuff made sense after that. Like when I finally did tell him I love him and he goes “yeah, I know”. I swear all of the stories with us that are supposed to be super sweet are actually really goofy stories 😂😂

My husband and I have known each other since we were children. We spent years(15+) as friends. it wasn't until one night we were just talking about feelings that he had the courage to tell me how he felt about me. I was overjoyed and didn't know what to say except that the feeling was mutual. He had and always has been the love of my life and now we are married and expecting our first baby in May of next year.

About 3 months of dating. I said it first. Must have taken him off guard because he said "what about me?" 😂 I was starting a new job that next day so when we were saying bye he said "they will love you, I sure know I do". Finally the next weekend he found his words and pulled me aside and told me he loved me. Just had to get there. 😂😂😂 been dating almost 5 years now. I've come to understand that he is more cheesy than romantic. 😂😂

We haven’t said it yet cos it’s way too soon but I’m pretty sure we’re getting there. Every once in a while he’ll just like, text me and say “babe, I like you.” And like, that’s it that’s all he had to say. Or like just randomly when we’re together. I’ll like, clean the dishes while he’s gone and when he sees he just like, looks at me, and I’m like what and he just says, nothing, I just like you. He’s so cute it kills me 😊🙈

mine was the most un romantic thing ever. It makes me sad to think of it really, cause everyone else has a cute story.. but my boyfriend told me he loved me first. It was 6 months into dating and I went to meet his family in another state for the first time. We were cuddling in bed at night just talking about how happy we were. When all of the sudden he was like "I don't think I love you yet, but I have such strong feelings for you" and literally not even 10 minutes later, he told me he loved me. I was like wait what you just said you didn't, and he was like "I changed my mind"... like wow that was so romantic thanks 😔 but we've been together 2 and half years and live together so I guess it doesn't matter much lol
