How long after you lost your mucus plug did you go into labor?!

FTM here. I will be 39 weeks on Wednesday. I lost my mucus plug yesterday morning first thing and was fine u til late afternoon when I started having some painful contractions but they haven’t been very consistent. Any idea of how long after you lose your mucus plug that real labor will start?! I’m freaking out that I won’t know what is real or not. 😕

It could be hours, days, or even a couple weeks since your plug can regenerate. You’re close enough that it probably won’t but unfortunately just losing it is not a very good sign that labor is imminent ): I’ve been losing mine for weeks now! hang in there!

i lost mine slowly over weeks. finally at 41+3 i lost the biggest chunk and pretty sure its all gone now but still having to be induced later this week as nothing is happening. i've had loads of braxton hick contractions too so unfortunately losing it doesnt mean alot

For my first child my water broke minutes after my mucous plug came out. He was five days late and the day before my dr had sweeped my membranes.

Started losing mine like 2 weeks ago lol now I’m 40+3 so it can take a while. I’m a FTM too.

I think I went into labor 3 days after but my first came 8 days past her due date. Good luck!

i lost my entire mucus plug when my water broke during labor lol but i did have little pieces come out here and there for like 3 weeks prior to going in labor.
