Wanting to have another Baby

I had my first and only child when I was 17 I had a son who is beautiful and fantastic but now nine nearly 10 years later I am finally feeling ready that I want another baby I'm in a settled relationship for nearly 3 years and my partner is 10 years older than me and already has a son who is 14 he has had a lot of difficulties with his ex partner and has made him feel put off the idea of having more children he is a fantastic father really loving with both are sons but just feel like it is such a shame that one bad experience has put him off and feel like he is judging me as the same as her when I'm a completely different parent to her me and his son have a fantastic relationship think it is also part with the fact that he is older and his dad passed away at 40 so he wouldn't want to have a child and it's left without a father at a young age like he was , really don't know what to do Lady any advice ????
