How long after starting Pitocin did contractions really start to hurt?

So my water broke around 3 AM this morning they started Pitocin around 9 AM and it’s currently almost noon .....contractions are uncomfortable but not unbearable and they’re asking me when I want to start my epidural. So I’m just curious and other peoples experience how long after starting Pitocin contractions start getting really painful?

get ready. biggest difference between regular and pitocin CTx (so I've been told, both mine have been with Pit) is the pit CTx come on like a freight train.

Pitocin contractions are way worse than natural contractions.. I couldn’t handle them with my first within a very short amount of time, wound up with epidural but started it too early as it started to wear off by pushing time. 2nd and 3rd baby all natural no pitocin not epidural, way easier.

they put that on that or something like that to induce me and my contractions didn't change or progress! but the doctors didn't understand what happen in my case..

Less than an hr, but before that i was already having mild contractions so the medicine just sped it up

Less than an hour but my water broke on its own and contractions never started naturally. Hit me like a brick wall once I had pitocin.

With my son my water broke at 3 am, I was only dilated to a 3, which hadn't changed since 35w, and I had literally no change for hours either it seemed. They scraped me around noon and brought me up to a 4, 😫 that did it. Contractions started but nothing big. They started pitocin around 2 or3pm and nothing really was happening. Then around 5 the contractions were getting pretty strong. They checked me and I was at a 7. And contractions were getting stronger and closer so they gave me the epidural then everything stopped. I didn't deliver until3:09am. 24hrs and 9min later I had my baby boy in my arms.
