Can anyone enlighten me on how their 2.5 year old reacted to their newborn sibling? Mine will be 2 years + 3-4months old around siblings birth

Have them meet at the hospital and talk to them while you got the new baby in your arm . Have them to kinda help you with the new baby . So they won’t be left out . That what I was told to do and it really help

My first was 2 when his brother was born. At first he wanted nothing to do with his brother and he immediately became a daddy's boy (he was a mama's boy) but after a couple weeks, he was a mama's boy again and started warming up to his brother.

Following because I’m in the same boat! I’ve been showing my toddler videos of newborns sleeping and crying to get her used to it. She knows what a baby is and loves them, hopefully that doesn’t change when this one is all up in her house!

That was the gap between me and my sister, and we had the WORST sibling rivalry. I felt like she took my mom away. Schedule 'Mommy and Me' days where you just spend time with whoever's day it is. Have it be a special day--trips to the zoo, science center, etc.
Oh, also, one thing that helped us get along was getting presents on siblings' birthdays. Birthday kid gets the biggest present, but sibs at least get something small.
