what if it doesn't happen

so my wife really wants to shoot an older child and I really want the experience of pregnancy and an infant. she is 44 and I am 24 in January (please no judgment) we agreed to try one month and after freaking out about what if it doesn't happen... she reluctantly says we can try more then once. Am I being selfish, should we only try the one we agreed upon and then adopt. just need someone to tell me hey calm down all is good and here is my view. thanks in advance

I’m 35 my wife is 46 and we agreed I would get prego once and if we wanted more kids we would adopt. We start in January. We are hoping it only takes one time but we are going full throttle with fertility meds and IUI. I can’t say how many times we will try before switching to IVF though. It’s all about age for us because I’m no spring chicken. Good luck. And just relax. I would recommend talking to your doctor and getting any kind of pre prego tests to make sure everything is working good before you spend money on anything.

It's rare for women to get pregnant only trying one time. Not impossible of course just not always guaranteed. My ob even said the same thing. I think you should give it 6 months to a year trying before giving up. 🙂Good luck!
