First appt

So I called to make my first appointment with my OB. It's not til December 29th. I will be 9w5d and I asked if I would get an ultrasound. They said no I wouldn't get one until 20 weeks?!?!? Is that normal?? I am freaking out. I just want to see the baby!

Ps this is my first pregnancy
