Pregnancy Hormones or Nah?

Not completely baby related: My MIL was at my house yesterday. She was on the couch next to my hubby while he was on fb marketplace looking at carseat/stroller travel systems for LO. Being our 4th child, we are saving money wherever we can and I especially want to spend more on the next carseat instead of the infant carrier because an infant carrier doesn't get used as long. Anyway, he shows her the set we like and is setting up a meeting with the seller. He shows it to her and she just kind of says, "Hmm. When you and your brother were babies, I insisted on buying the most prestigious and expensive brands." Then she shrugs her shoulders. I didn't say anything because ..... what??!! I am still trying to figure out if this was some type of snobby comment towards me or what. Is this my hormones or does it seem like she was being kind of rude? Also, here is the one we bought today that he showed her.
