What do you prefer to reduce childbirth pain?

So. I’m on my third pregnancy which will be my third full term delivery but I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks several years ago. When I had my miscarriage I spent the entire time in a hot shower hitting on my back. Was the only thing that relieved my pain. I knew when I went to have my first baby I wanted a water birth. But due to my health insurance restricting where I gave birth (had to give birth at the hospital I work at) they don’t offer natural/water birthing so I went drug free as long as possible. Finally at 5cm I called it quits and got the epidural. Best choice ever! Second delivery I had one again. Fully plan to do it with my third. 
If you have the option to water birth then go for it. It really does help so much with the pain but if not then don’t be afraid to go for the epidural.

I just used homeopathic remedies for back labour and drank arnica water. I also used relaxation techniques using hypnobirthing.... worked for me!

The shower hitting your back is aaaaaammmaaazing. The tub was nice too. I preferred the shower, but I was too tired to keep standing there or being on my knees because I had a super long labor (35-36hrs) so I spent the last 6 hours in the tub

My first son was born 8-29-16 and I had an epidural.
My second son was born 10-27-17 and it was an all natural birth.
With my first I had no pain after I got the epidural. Actually I fell asleep and was in a good mood until 8hrs later when it wore off. I was then in a lot of pain. Then got another epidural and was okay again but it didn't quite work this time. Only pain I had pushing was my ass because baby decided he wanted to come out the wrong hole at first lol. Doctors told me it was time to push and I told them that he could stay in a little longer. I wanted some more sleep first but I was crowning so that didn't go over very well with the nurses or doctor lmao. 
With my second I had no medication or epidural. I was in a lot of pain. I was screaming my lungs out and I just kept crying. I told my doctors they could just the baby out of me because I wanted the pain to be over. I was induced at 5am and had him at 11:18am. So not long in labor. It's the most amount of pain I've ever felt and it was worth it but it hurt like a bitch. I felt all 9lbs 13oz come out.
