Too many bridesmaids??

Question

I keep getting shit about how many bridesmaids I have. My husband does not have many friends that are male, so he has 4 groomsmen and that includes his best man. I have my sister, 2 cousins, and 3 very close friends for my bridesmaids. Since I am missing 2 groomsmen, the 2 bridesmaids that don't have a man to walk with will be carrying my beautiful sign that say's "here comes the bride" followed by my flower girl and ring bearer and then my father and I. Do you think I have too many bridesmaids??

My aunt and uncle had 13 bridesmaids and groomsmen so you definitely don’t have too many! My hubby could only think of 4 people for groomsmen and I had more so I gave my friends other jobs, such as two of them who are flute players played the music for the processional :)

Yes. The bride and groom should have equal amount on both sides. If he only has 4 then you should too. You should cut some people

Nope. You also can make some people in charge of other things such as handing out programs, or walking a sign down like you mentioned. Dont cut anyone & AGAIN who cares about tradition its your wedding & last i checked we lived in a frss country.

It's not too many bridesmaids I think that's the typical amount. However, if your fiance only has 4 groomsmen then I feel like you shouldn't have 6 bridesmaids

Traditionally bridesmaids and groomsmen are the same number, but I've seen wedding parties where there is an uneven number. Only 2 more won't be too large of a difference for it to be an issue. I've also seen bridesmaids walking down one by one while the groomsmen wait up with the groom at the start if that helps any uneven issues
