How long did you wait to try for baby #2?

I’m 6 weeks pp and my husband and I have began talking about baby #2. We want 4 children and we want them to be close in age so they can bond and enjoy each other. My doctor told me that she likes her patients to wait a year but in my case, I can try sooner considering my pregnancy and delivery were so good. I think I want to enjoy the first year of my sons life before I think about getting pregnant again but we will see how things go. How long did you wait?

My baby is nearly 7 months and we planning on next one. I’m 25 and my fiancé is 32; we are ready for more kids 🙂

We waited 6 1/2 years. We only ever wanted 1 child, but then baby fever hit hard and now we have a 2 year old little girl and our son will be 10 in a couple of months. I have since had my tubes removed because I'm almost 36 and have decided my baby making days are over.

We waited until my period returned (6 months postpartum thanks to breastfeeding) and found out I️ was 4 weeks pregnant when my son was 9 months old. He’s now almost 14 months old and I’m 26 weeks. They’ll be 17 months apart and I’m super excited to have my kids this close in age. ❤️

My first two are 16 months apart. We got pregnant when my oldest was 9 months and my second was born premature at 34 weeks. The doctor who delivered him said that is very common in closely spaced pregnancies, as the body doesn’t have time to recover.

My son was 6 months and I ended up pregnant! But it ended in a miscarriage after 3 months and now he’s 9 months and we r trying again .. I took clomid this month first time and we got ovulation tests for the first time, I got preseed and used it for the first time and now we r waiting!

In general it’s best to wait at least a year because your baby is going to need your milk (if you’re breast feeding) and if you were to get pregnant right after, nutrients that your infant needs will then be given to the new fetus. I think a 2 year gap is good. Me and my brother are a little less than 2 years apart, but my mom had to have me right away or not at all due to health complications she was having at the time.
