Baby's first birthday with no other kids?

My cousin is pretty young and is throwing a get together for her son's first birthday. She's the first of her group of friends to have kids, and we currently don't have any young ones in the family. It's mainly going to be adults and teenagers attending. Any ideas on what we could do?

I wouldn’t do much for a first birthday. Gifts and food is about enough for a child at that age.

We didn’t have any kids either. We played kid games though! It was a lot of fun playing games while our son played with his new toys (we put board games on the table where he wouldn’t get them lol). He liked sitting in the high chair and eating with everyone (we just grilled hamburgers and hot dogs).

we just did small goody bags for any kids that might be there and did small snack foods and cupcakes
