No weight gain?

I am 11 weeks and haven't gained any weight, is this common? I heard you're supposed to gain a few pounds in the first trimester, but my appetite sucks now and I am super picky

I only gained 4 pounds during the first 20 weeks. First appointment was at 11 weeks and had gained about a pound. My daughter ended up perfectly healthy.

I lost a bunch a weight in my first trimester because I couldn’t eat. My dr said it was fine because the baby is so small at that point that it doesn’t need a lot of extra calories. I started gaining weight in the middle of my second trimester and my son was a perfect weight when he was born, so you don’t need to worry yet.

I'm actually in my second trimester and my weight is actually fluctuating a lot . My doctor said it's okay and normal because the baby is taking a lot from you and it can be hard for the body to adjust. She said the only time to worry about your weight is in the third trimester when you should be gaining about a pound a week . So don't stress , try and eat as healthy as you can :)

You are 100% okay. A lot of women actually lose weight in the first trimester. I love 17 pounds myself

I lost 10 lbs in my first trimester. At 13 wks it’s almost all back which I feel so grateful for as I was a tad worried about what was going on. I didn’t puke but had severe nausea 24/7 paired with extreme food aversions and for the first week or two really soft poo (and an urgent need to go, paired with cramping). So I lost the weight in about a week then gained it back slowly over the first trimester. I was medicated with diclegis to help take away the intense nausea so I could function because whoa it was intense. It wasn’t a cheap copay but SO worth it! I have been told not to stress too much about weight during pregnancy at all unless all you do is lose weight when you didn’t have much to lose in the first place or if you have a really poor diet (like only eating junk food).
