Ovarian Cyst

My husband and I have been TTC for 11 months. When I was 7 weeks pregnant with my now almost three year old an ultrasound revealed a 7.2cm cyst on my left ovary. The ultrasound tech commented on the size and the OBGYn said they will check on it to make sure it goes away. I had never heard anything more about it. Fast forward now to 3 months ago when I went to the OBGYn for a fertility check up since we hadn’t conceived yet (we started trying last December) and I mentioned the cyst and he said they never followed up to see if it was gone. My OBGYn said they would schedule an ultrasound in 3 months to see if it was still there if I wasn’t pregnant. So I went back to the OBGYn 3 months later and there is a cyst the same size on the same ovary. They are almost sure it is the same one. I have to go in for another ultrasound in 6 weeks and have surgery scheduled to remove the cyst a week after the ultrasound if the cyst is still there.

So my question is had anyone experienced this is the past?

Were you able to become pregnant soon after laparoscopic removal of the cyst?
