Almost black period blood?!?

My period was seven days late, it just came and after about four hours I️ checked my pad and my period blood was so dark, it looked almost black, should I️ be concerned?? What does it mean?

its nothing to worry about especially if it only happens once in a while. I notice it happens to me when my period is late but not every time

I was told, the darker it is, it’s the oldest blood. I don’t know if that’s true or not.

i say just go to the doctor and see what it’s about but for all i know it could just be dried out blood
