Getting a baby to sleep through the night?

Susanna

I am a first time mom to a beautiful 2 and a half month old daughter. She has had the same sleeping/eating schedule since she was born. For the first month, she would eat 3 ounces every 3 hours. Now, she eats 4 ounces every 3-4 hours. She will scream and scream and scream until she gets exactly 4 ounces and she always wakes up right on schedule. Pacifiers only work if she isn’t hungry..when she is, she spits them right out and demands for milk.

So, obviously i’m still waking up several times in the night. I’m a single mom, so it’s hard work and I’m definitely exhausted, but I know she has to eat.

My question is, is it possible to get them on a schedule where they are sleeping mostly through the night or will they adjust as they get older? Some moms say to feed more than they are hungrier for before bed time, but is that bad? Do I let her just adjust or are there things I can do? Thanks!
