Any tips to water your Xmas trees?

We bought our first real Xmas tree I asked the co worker how often should I water my tree he said a customer told him water and sugar for your tree to stay green has anyone tried this? Or just water Thanks

Yeah sugar and water. My dad always sawed the end of it when we got home if they didn’t do it at the lot. And you refil the water when it starts to get low :)

Definitely add sugar. It really helps.

We bought tree food. And the first day it will drink a lot so be sure to check it. After that just a little bit daily.
