Is it weird to name your rainbow baby after the one you miscarried?

I named my baby Brooklyn Paige and still am stuck on that name for a future baby girl .. would that be weird?

This is a very personal decision. I think if the name feels right you should keep it.

My mom lost her first baby early on, she didn’t know the gender but she had a strong feeling it was a girl & wanted her name to be Anita June. With this pregnancy if I was going to have a girl, I was gonna include Anita in her name. I don’t necessarily think that kinda stuff is weird. I spoke with my mom about it & she was very happy that I wanted to do that for her. Some people do think it’s bad luck or just wrong in general, however some people are named after their parents or grandparents that have passed & think nothing of it. It’s really the same concept if you think about it.

My grandma lost twins when she was pregnant and named them Arthur and Elizabeth. My uncle named his twins after them and my grandma thought it was very sweet. If you like the name then stick with it. But think about this too, if you ever tell your child about the miscarriage how would they feel about you naming them after their brother/sister. It might feel like to them that you wish they were they’re deceased brother/sister.

I said yes just because it's something I couldn't do. I don't know the gender or my angel baby but I took both the names we had picked out of the table for our baby due in February. But it's up to you. I think it could be a sweet gester.
