How can you tell if your SO is mentally or verbally abusing you? Coment please.

You feel uncomfortable around them, like walking on thin ice. You have to be careful what you say to them in case they are in a bad mood. They put you down. They make you cry a lot

They are narcissistic , manipulate you, make out that everything that goes wrong is your fault, make you feel guilty. Ignore you, belittle you, act different in public/ with their friends or family like they are this amazing happy guy that “ everyone can trust “ and you know it’s all an act.
They make out that you are the one that’s crazy not them, they don’t take criticism well AT ALL they defend themselves by shooting you down. They don’t respect your wishes or care about your general well-being. They have absolutely no empathy. They won’t mind seeing you financially struggle.
They comment on things which they know get to you like your appearance and your weight. They remind you that you’re replaceable and that they could cheat on you knowing that you wouldn’t yell at him for doing it.
They don’t care if you cry, they never forget, you always have to apologise to them even if they started the argument. They publicly humiliate you too , yank your arm whisper things into your ear

Well sometimes when its someone you love you don't notice it right away because you have excuses for them. With me I was always wrong. Nothing I did was ever good enough for him. Nobody else was going to love me the way he claimed he did. I was constantly being dragged down and degraded. Sometimes you have to step back go realize its happening.
