Working in a man-dominated job?!

Who of is works as a mechanic or in a man-dominated job in general. I was thinking about applying for an apprenticeship as a automobile mechanic

I work at an auto parts store. And at lowe's before that. So be ready for guys to come up to you and ask for the guys working there. And they won't be quiet about it. I had a guy come up to me at Lowe's and start asking where something was then saw my male coworker. He then said to my face "never mind I will ask him". So be ready for that.

I do - tech sales. Mostly men at my company. They’re all great

I do, I’m an able Seaman and I’d say out of eighty people onboard a ship there’s only around three females. I still love my job even though there’s some assholes thrown in with us! A lot are still back in the twentieth century where they think women can’t work at sea 🙄

Do it! I work in construction and run heavy equipment as well. I have my cdl which has provided a great life for my kids and I. I’m the only women in this part of the country doing it. We need more women out here.
