Implantation vs period?

Question

I was seven days late for my period, when I got it it was very dark and after about two days my flow was really light, usually I’m a medium to heavy bleeder and it lasts 3-4 days, could it be implantation bleeding or is it my period? Could stress make your period shorter?

IB is very rare. Less than 20% of women experience it. (My aunt is an obgyn and helped me with a research project I did on it.) While it does happen to some women, it usually occurs 6-12 DPO, and always before your period would occur. Any bleeding after your period is most likely your period, or cycle spotting.
