my boyfriend and i are losing our virginities to each other soon, and i’m excited but also extremely nervous!

i’m getting on birth control and we’re using condoms, but here are some specific questions...

-how long after getting on birth control will it fully prevent pregnancy?

-what type of condoms should we get? are there any that are less likely to rip than others?

-can i go without lube?

any other tips/info is very much appreciated!! (i.e. facts like peeing after sex to reduce risk of infection, etc.)
