I've been with 2 guys with the same age gap. One completely shredded my life to pieces. Broke my heart worse than anyone ever has. I was young and believed everything he said and he cheated on me and got another girl pregnant and left me. It was so traumatizing. 
But a year later I met the second guy and we've been together for 2.5 years and we are engaged and just had our first baby together.  He was my saving grace. 
I'm not sure if you were looking for advice about whether or not it was a good idea but I thought I'd just say it's more about the maturity level than the age gap in this situation.

I was 16 my boyfriend was 20 we are now 21 and 25 engaged have a baby on the way and going strong age doesn't matter honestly no matter what anyone tells you, but you gotta just take it slow don't rush anything
