Part of me wants to say “you do you” and “it’s their choice,” but I also know (being 18) that teenagers have no clue about foresight and don’t understand how much it takes to be a parent. They think they’ll be okay because love overcomes, but nobody should bring a child into a harsh environment in which both parents have to work and nobody has time to pay attention to the newborn infant.

I would not harshly judge, but I would still judge a bit because children are extremely expensive, and two individuals in high school with most likely a part time job are not responsible enough to have a kid. I know people who have accidentally become pregnant, and their lives were changed forever. But to hear someone say that they want a kid while at the age of 17, it is shocking. You’re so young, you’re still technically a kid yourself, and you should be living your life, not stressing about a kid.
