Has anyone found that their supply increased after discontinued use of a nipple shield?

We’ve had a difficult breastfeeding journey, and trouble with supply (5-10ml per breast/pumping, 15ml hand expressing, less or same after nursing). Baby is 5 weeks so last night I decided to give it a go without my nipple shield (which I hate) and today I got just under an ounce from one breast from leakage alone - I have a silicone drip catcher. Anyone else experience this?
