Bellybutton piercing infected? Please Read

Question

I got my belly button pierced about a week and a half ago for my 18th birthday.  However, it has recently begun to ooze a light-yellow slightly greenish liquid?  It doesn't hurt at all and it doesn't stink, but it looks red and irritated.  I clean it 2 times a day with a saline solution that was given to me by my piercer and I also clean it extra whenever I have sex or work out. I don't touch it or pick at it, and I try to keep my clothing from rubbing against it.  I don't know what I'm doing wrong. :/

That's just what it looks like for about two months, remember you got a foreign object in your body and your body wants it out. 
My friends recently got infected and it was like a huge bubble. Like the size of a quarter.
Just keep using the stuff they gave you and sea salt and water and you'll be good to go

the same thing happened to mine. I sat in the tub and soaked it in warm sea salt water everyday. it's because your body isn't used to a peice of medal being inside it. my friend ordered a plastic ring and she said it's never been irritated at all but she still cleans it everyday obviously.

depending on how sensitive your skin is, that redness could last awhile. best advice is not to pick at it or take it out too often if you can help it :) mine was that way for a year and I've never had it take that much time to heal with other piercings.

This is completely normal. I had a lot of trouble with mine. Mine would get really bad and then it would heal then get worse then heal and basically repeated that until it just was completely healed. I’ve had mine for two years and love it. Just give it Time. You may or may not develop keloids they suck but if I stick it out it’s worth it once it’s healed

That’s when I got it pierced. I have my lower navel done.

It’s still healing. It takes about 6 months to completely heal. Just keep taking care of it.

Mine did that too. I think the stuff is called lymph and is a normal part of the healing process. Just keep taking care of it and it'll be fine!
