Has anyone any good advice on breastfeeding a small newborn when you have large nipples? With my second baby he was pretty small (6lbs 2oz at 40 weeks), and we had a terrible time getting breastfeeding going well. He could barely get my left nipple in his mouth. I remember just sitting in my bed with him screaming and me crying trying to get him to latch for 10-20 minutes every time I fed him. It took a good three weeks before it was a positive experience for either of us. My other two babies were bigger and we didn’t have any problems but I find myself worried that I might deal with it again with my fourth baby (I’m due in a few months).
