Question/ advice!

My doctor put me on the pill an its worked for me but it makes me really emotional. An I have a past history with depression. I talked to my doctor about it and she wants to switch me to the Depo shot. I've heard some really bad things about the depo and im kinda scared. I dont know if I should go along with it or keep on my pill an my emotional unbalance. Any advice?
