Implantation bleeding?

How can you tell if its implantation bleeding? I am bleeding a little bit like just enough for when you wipe. I am 3 days early for my period and i usually just get full on heavy periods. I also have what i thought were cramps but they went away and my normal cramps are horrible and i need to take medicine. Im confused???
