newborn scary runny nose.. what do we do??

my baby is a month old and he has had a stuffy nose the past couple days. we tried drops and sucking it out and nothing would come out no matter how hard we tried. that was at 11 this is now 3 am and my baby like can't breath and is chocking and gaging a ton and I don't know what to do. is he sick do you think? should I call the nuse line?? or maybe take him to the hospital or instacare? I'm just really scared right now..

Have you taken baby's temperature? It doesn't hurt to call ask, they can give you some suggestions for baby's stuffy nose.

At a month old, if you truly think he cannot breathe you should go to the ER. 
If you feel he’s just struggling, get a humidifier. Also run a hot shower, let it go for a while, then sit in the bathroom (not in the shower) with the baby. The steam from the shower will help loosen the baby’s mucus.
Lastly, do you have pets? Anything your diet new, if you’re breastfeeding? I’m asking in the event that it may be allergies.
