Cold meds ??

I have a terrible cold and I don’t know what to do. My baby is 2 weeks old and I am breast feeding. Pumping right now because I’m barely able to stay awake to feed her. Anyway. Is there anything I can take that won’t go through my milk and into her?

There are meds that are safe for her, but honestly, you risk knocking your supply if you take them & your supply is just getting established, so I wouldn't take anything if I were you. I'd just drink lots of tea with honey & lemon, take some steamy showers, etc.

Buy natural vitamin C powder Ina. Health shop or amazon. One with no additives just pure ascorbic acid and take it in high doses. Google the doses you would need. It's much much higher than you might think and what is stated on the tub. It's fine to take while breastfeeding and great for you and baby's immune system.

a simple cold shouldn't make you so ill you can't stay awake
go to your doctor
drink loads of water
hot tea with lemon and honey
hot chicken soup
run a humidifier
plenty of sleep in between breastfeeding
