7 week old not sleeping during the day

Hi ladies, I need some help!

My 7 week old has become impossible to settle for most of his daytime sleeps.

Current routine is; feed, play, sleep. Awake for anywhere between an hour & 90 minutes maximum when I put him down for his sleep. There's also either white noise or lullaby music on loudly when I put him down.

Problems;

- he's not 'sleepy' when going down for his sleep (& won't even go to sleep on me).

- when I put him down, he's swaddled & either in his bassinet or cot (he sleeps in both at night/regularly).

- I've tried pick up/put down, but it's no longer working, to the point when I put him down he screams. I don't mind fussing, but screaming breaks my heart.

- he won't take a dummy, but loves loves loves using me as a dummy. I do let him do that occasionally but it's not always going to be practical.

Thankfully he sleeps ok at night - generally get a 3.5 hour & 2 - 2.5 hour block out of him. But I'm concerned that if the daytime sleeping remains out of balance/doesn't happen it will muck up evenings.
