APS clotting disorder.....HELP!

Stephanie

Ok, so for all the ladies with APS please help me. I have typed APS in the search bar and have read lots of interesting things, but for my own personal benefit, I need to hear more. I have not been diagnosed with it, however I have had 3 miscarriages since June and my last d&c; was two weeks ago this Thursday. Prior to the doctor performing it she said “I think you should start a low dose aspirin, I think it will really help you,” and left it at that. 😳 So, I came home and searched ALL I could about why she would recommend that on good ole Dr. Google.....came across TONS on APS and basically self diagnosed myself and prayed like heck it was that simple of a fix. So here‘s my thing.....I have read so many positive stories that my faith has finally been restored! But I’m wondering if she decided to test me for APS, since I’ve been in baby aspirin, will that hinder the results? And has anyone been suggested to take the aspirin, got pregnant after “X” amount of miscarriages and went on to have a healthy baby without being tested for it and just taking aspirin? I have read it is 2 different sets of blood work to be done 12 weeks apart and while a huge part of me wants to know, a equally huge part is like “nope, take the aspirin, try again and pray for the best. I don’t have 12 weeks to wait 🤣” So what have others done? If my OB doesn’t push for the blood work when I see her Monday for my follow up, should I request it or continue the aspirin as she recommends and like I said, hope for the best?
