How do you other twin moms deal with friends, family and strangers saying rude or inconsiderate things to you about you having twins?

Over thanksgiving I had several people tell me just how scared they were of having twins when they found out they were pregnant. I just kind of laughed it off each time, but it’s kind of alienating knowing people are soooo relieved to not be in your shoes. Also- RUDE.

The worst comments are from my sisters though. They’re well-meaning but both kind of enjoy teasing me for getting big pretty quickly. I’m almost 24 weeks and only messing a couple weeks ahead but according to them I look “due”. They also criticized how much food I got at thanksgiving dinner 🖕. Then my older sister introduced me to a friend of hers as “my little sister who has two toddlers and is PREGNANT WITH TWINS. I know I feel bad for her too”. Like, seriously?

Basically not many people have actually said anything positive about the twins and it’s getting to me a little. I’m dreading how much worse it’s going to get when I actually am huge and people are wondering if I’m about to pop at 30 weeks. Or after my son and daughter are born and people are vocal about how happy they are that they just had one baby at a time. I know I shouldn’t let it get to me, but I’m pregnant and hormonal and sensitive 😂.
