My son is 17 months and ever since he started mouthing when he was a baby, he won’t just mouth or “chew”, he will literally tear apart everything from toys to furniture....anything he can get his mouth on and tear apart. He tore apart his pack n play, he’s chewed the paint off his crib, stuffed animals torn apart and will even ingest the fur so we had to take them away. Our chairs and couch are getting torn apart. Is this normal? Does anyone have any experience with this? It’s like an obsession for him. When might he outgrow this? He’s destroying everything like a little puppy!! He has plenty of safe toys to chew on but he prefers things he can rip apart. We’ve closed him off from what we can but he will always find something to rip apart including his clothes. If I just have a diaper on him, he will take it off and chew it. I guess I just gotta wait till he outgrows this?...
