What causes a Chemical Pregnancy ?

I think I had a chemical pregnancy last month , I was wondering if any one could help me understand what causes this ? Please Help

CP are normaly caused by developmental disturbance from the fertilized egg. Nature sorts out. That's her job. It's pretty normal and thats it, how nature creates new, healthy life. Therefore I recommend NOT to test until AF is 1 week late..... CP happens very often ( some studies speak about 50% of fertilized eggs ) and if you test early you will discover EVERY CP and drive yourself mad thinking about it. It's MUCH easier to think 'oh I was late for 4 days' than to KNOW there was a implaned egg who didn't grow further.... Let nature do her job! And Good luck for your next cycle!

I had one last month as well. My doctor told me there's no specific reason that it happens and that it happens more often than we know because those of us that are TTC test early. I got my BFP the day before AF was due and started bleeding 4 days later. If I wouldn't have tested, I wouldn't have known and would've thought it was just a late AF.
