I’m scared 😱

My period is a week late. I have no signs of a period coming. Yes I’m sexually active. I’m on birth control. Earlier in the month I had some spotting, was too much to me implantation bleeding but not a period that lasted for three days. Today I have thick brown/red discharge. I don’t have any signs of pregnancy other than not having a period. I normally get my period after my sister, hers was late this month as well, but came. What do y’all think? Test or wait for a period?
