Please help! I think Dr. is WRONG!!!??

Ashly

Ok ladies please help me understand this! BF and I started ttc in October, the first month I got a positive test (was in total shock because of PCOS diagnosis last year), tested daily between Oct. 26-Nov. 1st. All positives (no squinters)

On Nov 5th. I started bleeding heavily. Having experienced a MC before, I knew in my gut I was having an early MC ( Only about 5 weeks at this point? Rough guess) Called the doctor in the morning, and headed to the lab. HCG was 4.4, repeated 4 days later it was 1.7. Nurse says, yes MC and asks if I'd like to keep my original dating/confirmation appointment on Nov. 28 as a follow-up. So I keep the appointment.

So, BF and I decide whatever happens happens, and we BD as soon as the bleeding stops. I don't temp or use opks, so the apps that I use give me a OV date of the 18-19th, though I would not be surprised if I Ov'd a little sooner based on symptoms.

So morning of appointment rolls around. I decide what the hell, and poas, I'm roughly 4-5 days before missed period. So I knew it was a long shot. But low and behold I get a faint positive on a frer with FMU! BF agrees there's a line. And he's very skeptical of my line eyes! Pretty sure we're pregnant right after MC, no period in between.

So I head into my appointment later in the afternoon, feeling pretty good! WRONG! I tell the nurse I may be pregnant again. They take a urine sample...Negative. Doctor decides to do an ultrasound, no sign of pregnancy and makes comments that my lining is thin...and notes some cysts on right ovary. I always have a few cysts so I don't think anything of it.

Doctor states that with PCOS I could get false positives with certain elevated hormone levels!?!? And basically questions whether MC earlier in the month was real, and that I'm probably getting a false positive now! WTH? Has anyone heard of such a thing? She did take a ton of blood work including HCG, so I'll get that back tomorrow. But seriously PCOS and false positives? Anyone heard of that? Something about certain hormones crossing into blood/urine that mimic HCG? I rushed home and pee'd on a stick (came out darker than the morning test) I'm annoyed and confused and feeling a little crazy! please help!? Has anyone been told this? If it's true does the line get darker? I feel like it's just too soon for the office urine test to be right, and way too soon for an US to show anything! :(
