Did you play games at your baby shower? Was recently told that games aren't really popular anymore

I did the games. For me it was another way of thanking people for attending my shower. I gave out some really cool gifts too  This just made me feel better about “asking” for gifts

at my 2nd baby shower we did the game where you give everyone a necklace and you can't say the word "baby" if you said the word baby the person who calls you out first gets your necklace the person with the most necklaces at the end received a gift bag it was fun and lasted the entire shower

We didn’t do games but we had some cute “baby predictions” and “advice for mom” type cards. It was a way to keep people entertained while others arrived and after they finished their food

My sister had a couple of games at my shower but not that everyone had to participate in - she had a “smell the diaper”/guess the candy game - and then she hid baby toys around the room and whoever found the most won

We're doing guessing games for prizes! Guess how many baby kisses are in the jar and guess the size of my belly and for more prizes were taping a little baby bottle pin thing on the bottom of a couple of chairs. Nothin too fancy I was worried about the game part of it ! But excited for these easy ones

What else are people supposed to do for 3 hours? I mean, a few games silly or not help keep it moving.

We had games that were low key and people could do them if they wanted. We had a price is right game to guess cost of a bunch of baby things, guess how big my belly is with ribbon, and a timer going while I opened gifts and if I was opening yours when the timer went off you got a prize.

I think games at baby showers are fun! (The ones I’ve played) it gives your guests something to do and involves them. I feel like it’d be boring and too short without some kind of activity/game. My shower is next weekend and I know there will be games :)

We aren’t doing games but i have coloring pages for the baby book and little things for everyone to do to keep them busy.
