Hair salon messed up - what should I do?

I went in to the hair salon and normally they do a great job, but this time it's way too dark. I thought it was the lighting but today my friends also think it's super dark and the highlights are really faint. I have social anxiety and it's hard for me to speak up. Should I go back and ask them to fix it, or just suck it up?

I'm a hairstylist and the last thing we want is for you to be unhappy with our work. Most salons including the one I work at will have no trouble fixing something you're unhappy with. Just walk in within a few days of the last appointment (usually the cut off is a week) and explain you feel it's a bit too dark.

I personally feel the same as you. Mostly I'd say don't bother, but you paid for it and should have them fix it because it wasn't what you wanted and you don't like it at the moment. If you don't like to speak up, then you can either try and go by yourself or go with someone that you know or trust to go with you. I don't think that the people doing your hair would mind though, but it's always good to have someone if you think it'll get complicated or have some opinions afterwards. I hope you get your problem solved soon and feel much more confident and better with your hair. 😊👍

IF they messed up, it is THEIR responsibility to YOU the person paying them for a service, to do what you want.

Call honestly. I used to/still do have social anxiety and used to never speak up for stuff like that, but honestly calling and asking over the phone is less nerve wracking for me than saying it to their face. Call and tell them what happened and that you aren't happy with your hair, and then when they tell you to come in to get it fixed, you can just walk in and say you're there to get it fixed

Girl, I have social anxiety too. And whenever something like this happens I usually just suck it up and deal with it because of how stressful it is to speak up (I usually burst into tears before even getting any words out)
But don't be like me lol. Be brave, speak up. You are not the one in the wrong, they are, and any decent person would be happy to fix their mistake if their client is unhappy. Especially if you are a regular. Your happiness with their work is important.

Same thing happened to me the stylist used a different brand of hair color line and it came out awful I def called her and she fixed it at no charge I already had paid enough
