My lo just turned 5months and for the past 2 weeks I started giving her gerber. (I’m not waiting 6months). I started out with veggies and now I give her vegetables and fruits but how much is too much?? After she’s done with solids she drinks 4oz of milk. How much do y’all give your lo and how Many months are they

Are you giving milk before solids? It’s the main source of nutrition until 12 months so should always be given first. 
At 6 months my daughter would only eat a few bites twice a day (not even a small 2oz baby food container). At 8 months old is when she could finish the big 4oz baby foods

Your doctor will go over all of this once they give you the okay to start solids. Formula or breast milk absolutely has to be their main source of nutrients for the first 12 months. So you shouldn’t be giving solids before milk. Milk comes first and then maybe 30 minutes later you can try some solids. Otherwise they’ll get full on solids and won’t get the nutrition they actually need. Also, don’t try more than one new food a week. One week try bananas and maybe the next week you can try apples. It allows you to keep an eye on what they’re allergic too.

At that age I did maybe 2 table spoons twice a day. Not much, just to get the taste and start learning to swallow rather than nurse.
