Cleaning potty chair

I recently started potty training my 18 month old. Things have been going great! He usually poops around the same time every day, and he loves sitting and reading his special books. He gets very excited to see what is in the chair when he stands up 😂

My question is, how do other parents clean the potty chair? It has a piece that pops out for easy cleaning. I've wiping it with toilet paper, then a squirt of disinfect, then wipe dry with a paper towel. It's working fine, but I thought maybe someone else has a better way. TIA 😊
